i have a 97 mitsubishi mirage and ive been having this problem sinse last winter.Only in the morning when its cold or even cool outside its hard to start my car.i have to crank it a few times before it will start. then when im driving it ,it kinda feels like it dosent want to go.then when i change gears it goes for a second and does the same thing. After driving it for about ten mins it runs fine and i dont have anymore problems until the next morning. Also another question i replaced my computer (ECU) the car ran for a week no more check engine light and then it came on. it says its the Idle Air Control Valve. what is that? and could i just have gotton a bad computer? the computer was used and only cost me 60.00 and the other part is 240.00 so im wondering if i should try another computer? ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED............THANK YOU

when was the last time you had a tune up? replace your plugs, wires, cap & rotor, and have your battery checked. it's hard to diagnose a problem like this over the net, but i'd say your problem lies somewhere in your air/fuel delivery

sounds like a missfire problem so yeah, try replacing the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and cap and roter, it shouldn't cost too much.
