what power steering fluid?

Hi - 03 montero - manual says genuine mitsubishi power steering fluid. Does anyone know what this is? ATF? Dextron? Thanks.

Dont worry about that... Fill it with any powersteering fluid you want.

Great thanks - I ordered some PS fluid from specalityformulations. I'm going to try it.... I'm happy with his gear lube!

just DONT use auto trans fluid.

it can damage the power steering system. Specifically, dont use mitsu ATF 3. There may be aftermarket fluids that are compatable, but I wouldnt recommend anything but approved mitsu power steering fluid. mitsu has specifically said many times that you should not use their trans fluid in their power steering systems.
