Hey Guys,
I own a 1994 Mitsubishi Galant sports Hatch with a 6A12 N/A, I have Recently found my self a 6G72 DOHC non-turbo motor for sale real cheap!!!, The question I want to ask would this motor fit in my engine bay?,
I have been talking to a mate of mine that works for Autosalon Magazine here in Australia; he has put some suggestion through to me, to use the 3L bottom end with the 6A12 heads to get maximum of 150rwkw, Ridiculous amount of torque and a insane throttle response to blew away the Taxi’s(Holden Commodore’s Aussie domestic car) will this work? and how much custom work will have to be done? If it was to work, plans would be Forged internals, cams, port and polished heads, bored out plenum, extractors twin 2 ¼ exhaust and RWD conversion using the standard 3000GT 4wd Gear box, custom mounts and drive shafts might have to be made?, this is pretty much going to be a trial and error on fitting the 6G72 motor in before modifications start to happens
I am set to spend a lot of money on a motor that is not a turbo!! I am yet to speak to my local Mitsubishi Performance workshop for there inputs and rebuild costs
All help and suggestion would be greatly appreciated as I want to get this project underway ASAP Wink
