well, as of right now i have a 3 inch exhaust pipin done. im lookin forward for an intercooler upgrade, turbo upgrade, change of spoilers, doors, and sound system. thats about it that i wanan do on my eclipse.

well for an intercooler, wait till you get the upgraded turbo, for the turbo...what are your goals cuz the higher the goal. the bigger the turbo you want but for an order of upgrading in turbos id say its something like this (big T28, 16g, fp2065, gt35r) or something like that. Obviously there are alot more choices. But remember with any turbo upgrade comes with alot of other upgrades needed

A 3" exhaust usually doesn't have as much back pressure as a 2.5" and won't increase HP without extensive port work. If this is the only mod you may be loosing some HP.

Not true with a turbo charged car.... 3in is fine, if it was NA then that is over kill

Check out this page:

http://www.buschurracing.com/dsm-stage1.htm

I had a 1g Eclipse AWD with a 4g63 stock turbo and a Starion FMIC. I switched from a 2.5" exhaust to a $1100 3" exhaust and it felt like it lost power and wasn't nearly as fast. You will never forget the day you spend $1100 to go slower.

well true I am in general talking about the EVO whichflows ALOT more than the DSM.... But if it is a first mod it makes sence most DSMs go 2.5 DP and 3 CAT BACK... I would go 3in if your car has a few mods other than just exhaust in mind

when i got a 3" catback exhaust i could tell that my car was faster. I was also not running stock boost though. I think that might have a big difference too

stock can be between 9-12psi. But its not the motor itself thats the weekest link. Its gonna be your turbo and your fuel. The turbo really falls off around 17psi i think and the fuel system is about the same. Most people to be safe will only run about 15psi to be safe on the stock turbo.
