I didn't see anything when i searched and it is somthing that i really need to know as i feel my next car purchase is gonna be one of the mitsu variety.

Which is more dependable, or reliable: a first gen (91) awd eclipse, or an 88 starion? BOth have somewhat similar miles, but the bellhousing is cracked on the eclipse. I just don't want to invest a lot of cash in something i won't be able to drive...

Thanks for your time,

Michael

well, a starion would be pretty cool to drive seeing how not many people have them

but the GSX 1g would prob be ur best bet seeing how they dont really make parts for starions anymore

I would say a 1g GSX. Can't go wrong with turbo and 4wd.

the 91 is a turbo I take it and the cracked bell housing is very common that is telling me it been drivin very hard , let off the clutch at a high rpm thats what happens every time........

the transfer cases leak and seize as well so for reliability if your going to drive it hard niether car will really be good for being reliable,

the 91 is a pretty simple car to work on the Starion and be a pain in the A** if your not familiar with how the fuel and ignition system works

but if i had to chose it would be the 91 Eclipse if the price was right for it

just my 2 cent"s
