My 2000 eclipse has a nasty squeek that comes only after stop/start driving. The noise seems to be on the drivers side under the floor or near the firewall. Cannot duplicate the squeek by bouncing or pushing on the fender. Any ideas? it is really anoying

You can try and duplicate it by having a buddy move the car and stop the car while you listen for the squeak. The description is pretty vague, so we could use more info on it.
Otherwise, I can throw things at you like...
Check your suspension bushings, your sway bar bushing (if you have one), and everything else suspension related since from here, that's what it sounds like to me.
