That's true, I didn't think of that even though, that would be my normal way of thinking, lol.

I believe you need a 2g head for a 2g car. Check this out bro. http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=1898&

Yeah, it cost that much for someone to do the work and to come from a shop like Slowboy, lol. I'm still searching though, lol.

Holy crap, that was a tough search. "The site" has been down for an upgrade this past weekend and not all the info has been moved to the new server and I had a hell of time trying to find "backdoors" to this link! ...but I found it, wooo hooo, lol. Anyway, here it is. http://www.****s.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49472

Here's another link to a 2.4 swap. This one was easier to find for some reason. http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=132314&highlight=2.4+swap Odd that it allows the first part of the link. Anyway... I hope that helped in your decision or at least gave you more options for your car. I personally would drop a 4g63 head (and everything else that's needed of course), and convert to AWD. A 2.4L AWD Turbo Spyder....badass vert!

doing some more reading , do i have this correct ? all i have to do is change my pistons plug off a few holes and my bottom end is done ? so for about 400 bucks "in parts" the bottom end of my motor would be ready ?

I believe your $2-$3k estimate is more obtainable for a total motor if not for less $. If it's done the DIY way :D
