Okay, so there's this local dealer, that is selling a used GT for 10,999 (negotiable)... but it has 100.000 miles on the engine, and they also replaced the clutch and flywheel. Do u think that this car is worth, say 9,000? Because it's really really nice inside, the interior is completely clean... i just dont want my engine giving out anytime soon, because i need a good car that doesnt need a ton of maintenence. Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated. I'm a newbie and I look forward to buying either an eclipse gt(s) or a lanzer (oz). Thanx much, Addison

Don't even consider a 2000 eclipse with 100k on it. That's definitely buying trouble. Not to say that Mitsu is unreliable, but maybe if it were a Toyota or Honda(!!!), it would be a better deal. But this is only my opinion, my '96 Eclipse Spyder has 125K on it and is now starting to show some problems. And they are costly problems, things like leaking oil from the oil pan and cam sensor gasket going bad.
