its called fuel cut. where your car is either running too high of boost or not getting enough fuel the car will cut out for a second. Its normal for turbo cars to do it, but not all the time. What boost are you running? what mods? It may only be something small like a fuel filter or something but more info is needed

I would check all the connections in the turbo system. Sounds like you are blowing off your psi at some point. Check the intake at the throddle body.

no fuel cut has nothing to do with your tranny. And it is exactly what your car is doing is fuel cutting. Do a search. Ill try and find a good thread to read on it for you. Most likely you dont have anything major wrong. All it is, is the computer cutting off your engine basically

i dont think they make hard tops for the spyder. And as far as fixing the problem, i dont think you need an upgraded ECU. I think its something else that is causing. But anyways, usually people willl have to modify the ECU only when they want to upgrade fuel systems, increase to high boost, ect. you arnt doing any of that right now so its not the ECU. I would try and replace the fuel filter since its an easy fix. Or maybe air filter. Just do some general maintenance. Remember fuel cut is normal for a 2g car to get from time to time. So dont worry too much about it. Its not hurting your car even though it feels like its really bad. Its actually preventing bad stuff from happining

Fix your boost leak(s), upgrade your fuel system or turn the boost back down.
Find and fix your boost leaks first though.
