if you don't want to boost your car, you might try a tid bit of N2O. Installed correctly and used appropriatley (like not squirting a 75 shot during a burnout in 1st), it'll give you a little kick without major modifications to your car. If this is the route you'd like to take, I'd get an intake, catback exhaust, header (if you can, the 1.8 you can get headers pretty readily for realetivley cheap, the 1.5 however is a whole other nightmare), and do maybe a 50shot of nitrous (wet or dry system, I think the dry kit is easier to hook up, but the wet system will give you more for your money and allow you to purge the system [you know, shoot a stream of vaporized n2o into the air and get all kinds of"ooohs" and "ahhhhhs"]) That, and a drop will help bring your econobox to life.
