I think you ment to say only not to many of them at the strip cause they brake rather often actually. espeically the 1G ones with weak bottom ends and and drvetrain.

still less then a DSM....and they last long as hell....weak bottom end i assume it craps out after being overboosted. i know a guy with a stealth thats about to click 270k miles and its still runnin like a charm. I didnt say modified...but stock the 6g72 is a pretty good motor.

i will give you this though...the first 3/s in the 9's was/is owned by matt monnett and dynamic racing...and they blew the motor breaking that record...apparently they ran out of gears.

stock and un beaten... yess they are better than DSM's but the 1Gs spin bearings alont in the 3s and the drivetrain is not so hot. NESpeed just did a 95TT swap in his 92 stealth last year cause it has 102 on the clock and spun a bearing and the kid who owned it kept driving it so it trashed everything in the car. So the 95 motor stronger bottom end and 6spd swapped better tranny. and it lasts maybe 5000 miles and spun another bearing a month ago. The car is now sitting and waiting for a while on a build up.

The 2G bottom end is actually good. I have heard it can hold 29PSI stock but you gotta make sure the oiling componets keep up or youll be hearing a spun bearing rattleing around lol.

Diamond Star Motors

It is basically all 90-99 Eclipses galant VR4s turbo models

It is called that because the cars were built with mitsu parts by chrysler in the U.S. so Diamond as in mitsu and star as in chrysler.

the story goes on and on to DSM but that it the breif general idea
