Just bought a 91 and I have a dead cylinder I found what cylinder it is and I think I found the problem but now I'm stuck. I found that one of my injectors is not gettin any voltage when I checked it so now what? Also is there a way to check the code for the check engine light without a scanner.

THANKS, for any help you may give me

Brandon

if its not getting any voltage then its not the injector itself.

Here is the procedure for reading the diagnostic codes with an analog voltmeter.

i had the same problem with my 94 sl last week. it turned out to be the sparkplug wires. i changed out the plugs and wires and now it runs better than it did when i got it. try looking at the plus and wires and see how they look.

I checked the plugs and wires I'm getting spark but just no gas........I just can't think of what else to check I put a new computer thinking that might be the problem but it was not what sends the pulse to the injector or exactly how does the injector work maybe I'm wrong in thinking how the injector works

get a volt meter and check the voltage going to THAT injector. If you get nothing then go backwards... follow the wire untill you get a harness. Locate the positive and negative pins in the harness and test for voltage once again. If you get a reading... then the wire itself is defective and simply replace the wire. If you dont get any reading... then just go back once again.

that is what I thought I would have to do I was just hopeing that someone might have known the rout so I would not have to trace the wires cuz it runs in some tight places
