In January 2006, Mitsubishi announced that the Mitsubishi Zinger will be released in late 2006 as a 2007 model. The Mitsubishi Zinger is going to be a multi-crossover recreational vehicle that will serve the needs of people seeking an awesome recreational vehicle. The Mitsubishi Zinger is not only a project of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. While the Zinger is being designed by Mitsubishi, it is being developed and marketed by China Motor Corporation. The Zinger will first hit the Asian market, and hopefully the United States will see the Zinger in the next couple of years. The Zinger will be promoted heavily in Taiwan and Japan as well as throughout China before it makes its move to North America.
So far, the Zinger is off to a strong start in Tawain selling more than 2,000 in the first month when the company had only anticpated that they'd sell about 1,000 models. The Zinger is attractive to many because it features a 2.4 Litre engine and boasts four wheel drive. The sporty look of the Mitsubishi is also an attractive quality as well as several different trim levels which allow consumers to truly make the Zinger their own and sort of incorporate their style into the vehicle.
